turnips and parties.

today we had my wonderful sister's, Hannah, graduation party!  it was just spiffy. she is so special to me!
we had it on a farm that i grew up on, where we went to church and had homeschool groups.
it was beautiful because my favorite time of day is right before sunset when everything is golden and shining.  and my favorite flower is a wild turnip green flower which grow in fields and gardens.  so we were there and it was right before sunset, in a field of wild turnip green flowers, and we let the balloons go from the party.  it was just a beautiful sight.  here is a picture i found online.

some of you that read my blog might have learned something about me that you never knew.  i think even I learn something about myself every time i write an entry.  it's interesting how much more you can explain about yourself or your feelings, when your not trying to speak it to someone.  for others it might be the opposite but for me, it's sometimes easier to write down my feelings more accurately then if i was trying to explain them to someone.  usually it depends on the person.

summer is here.  i spent my whole school year building up things in my mind about what i want to do, and see over summer.  and now that it's here i don't know where to start!  right now i think i just need to do nothing and think everything over that's happened to me....and sleep a lot.  this summer i really just want to stay positive about everything, and try to just analyze what i see and hear every day.  i feel like the whole school year i felt really, i guess the word is, confused.  so many things were happening at once but i  had so much school to do i didn't have TIME to analyze.  so i finally have time to do the things i really love.  and to think.  and to play guitar.  and to listen.  not only to the buzz and commotion of the world around us, but listen to the things God has been trying to tell me all year.

so fleet foxes was beyond amazing.  one of the best experiences of my life.  they were great performers, and the audience was amazing as well!  i'm so in love with robin pecknold and i got so mad when i saw that he had been in one of the alleys after the concert signing things and i missed it!  but it was over all just wonderful.  wonderful night with wonderful people.

summer? what's that?

well kids, only three more days of school.  i am so happy about this!
one more final on Thursday and then it's freedom!
this summer (like the last) i want to do productive things.
like hiking, mission trips, painting, taking pictures, etc.
i haven't had any time to do those things this year because of all the school that was looming over me.
another exciting thing is that Fleet Foxes concert is in 3 DAYS!  i'm so ecstatic!
their new album cam out Helplessness Blues.  good stuff.

The Civil Wars

so i kinda just discovered this AMAZING band called The Civil Wars.  they are fantastic.  also, go and make The Civil Wars your station on Pandora and the music is so good!!
