today i was thinking about how fast life is going.  not to long ago i was watching some family videos of my and my older sister when i was two, and we were riding bikes down our driveway in little tutus.  it seems like it wasn't that long ago.  also, today i was in wal-mart and everyone was moving so fast!  everyone was doing their own thing ..... not thinking twice about the people around them, about what THEIR lives are like.  what THEY are going through.  i love the movie to kill a mockingbird, and when i watch it, i long for a little town like that.  everyone knows everyone and they're actually interested in what other people are going through and what's in their lives.  wouldn't that be nice?

the other night i went to the park with some pretty amazing people and that night we were suppost to have the biggest moon in 17 years!  it was gorgeous.  big an' yellow. 

oh and by the way!  its barefoot season!  i love to walk barefoot so much, i'm against shoes for a number of reasons. PLUS its . . .its . . .good for the environment!  (don't ask me why, but its a good excuse)

so i'm on spring break now and it is just lovely!  my family and I love to watch this show called fringe, it's an addiction.  and in one episode they were talking about alternate realities and deja vu.  they said (or more like, the crazy scientist said) that deja vu is like what the person in the alternate reality did and that's why you feel like you've done it before!  weird huh?  of course i doubt that's true but it is still interesting . . . when i have deja vu it is so real!  i feel almost certain that i've dreamed it before or seen it.  it's the weirdest feeling. 

oh goodness

so i'm going to make one of those posts that tell you about my day, but only because yesterday is so worth telling!!  so yesterday was thursday and i went to our tutorial.  thursday are atomatically wonderous because i get to see my friends but this day was even greater.  in my study hall i had so much fun because i came in second against like ten guys in around the world ping pong!  OH YEAH!  and then i had fun hanging out with people i usally don't get to hang out with, it was great.  then after school there was an end of the semester partay.  it was epic.  me and a whole lot of other awesome people all sat in this huge movie room and watched lord of the rings.  now before i go any further you must know that, at heart, i am a complete nerd.  when i was younger i was absolutely obsessed with lotr (i still am to some degree) and i have like over a thousand trading cards and i have some of the figures.  ANYWAY back to the story, so we were all big lotr fans, and you know that really amazing scene with the army of rohan when their about to attack?  and theoden is encouraging them by yelling all this awesome stuff? no?  well i do.  i practically have it memorized.  so when that was going on we were all screaming it with them and it felt so real!!  i've seen those movies a billion times and that has been the best time yet!  so powerful, man. 

so thankful for rainy saturday mornings where i can just lay in bed reading a book. 
so thankful for saturday nights when i can watch 3 episodes of fringe and listen to my friend play the piano.

friends

so today after my tutorial i randomly had the thought of how blessed i am to have the friends i have.  one of my closest friends, Dean, is moving to texas this summer and it makes me really sad. not only for the obvious reasons, but because i feel like i've taken our friendship for granted all these years.  sad that it took her to move for me to realize that right? 
friends are like childhood toys, you never realize how special they are to you until they're taken away.  but obviously not that i think about it i would NEVER be able to live without my friends.  they all mean so much in my life.  they encourage me when i think i'm going to fail that poetry quiz, they laugh at me . . . in a friend kind of way, they laugh with me until the tears roll down, and so many other things i could write a book about.  dude, you guys know who you are that mean so much to me, i might not say it that often, but you do.  i love you all so stinkin' much!

anywho! so it's a beautiful day in the neighborhood and it makes me wish i could do watercolor all day long instead of school . . . wouldn't that be great?  it reminds me of one sunny sunday afternoon when me and my wonderful friend cori had a photo shoot.

I took the first one and she took the second. 
that was a stellar day.
